Description:

Conversion of a former supermarket into a modern ALDI grocery store as part of the company’s Gulf Coast expansion.

LOUMIS Air Scope of Work:

Installed an energy-efficient HVAC systems, including 2 rooftop units and ductwork, to meet retail cooling and ventilation requirements.

 

This project converted a former Winn-Dixie supermarket, built in 1991, into a modern ALDI grocery store as part of the chain’s Gulf Coast expansion. The renovation included full interior demolition, installation of proprietary flooring systems, new refrigeration units, storm drainage upgrades, and parking lot improvements. The store opened on April 24, 2025, offering ALDI’s signature no-frills shopping experience and supporting the company’s nationwide growth strategy following its acquisition of Southeastern Grocers.
